The Last Wish: A Joey McIntyre Guest Spot
Blue Bloods, a long-standing police procedural television series, is gearing up to conclude its final season after an impressive 14-year run. Donnie Wahlberg, both a star on the show and a member of the iconic boy band New Kids on the Block, recently expressed his desire for a special guest appearance by fellow bandmate Joey McIntyre on the show. Despite Jordan Knight's brief appearance in a 2011 episode, Wahlberg has been working hard to secure roles for his bandmates.
Wahlberg revealed in an interview that he has been persistently advocating for McIntyre to join the cast, emphasizing that it would be a fantastic opportunity for his long-time friend. Although the perfect role for McIntyre has yet to materialize, Wahlberg remains hopeful that his wish will come true soon. McIntyre, on the other hand, joked about needing some creative liberties when it comes to his potential character, including the possibility of being a love interest causing drama among the characters.
Blue Bloods, which first premiered in 2010 on CBS, has consistently attracted a large audience, making it one of the rare broadcast show successes. The series follows the Reagan family, a lineage of NYPD officers led by patriarch and police commissioner Frank Reagan, portrayed by Tom Selleck.
