It's no surprise that our beloved shows will face delays due to the ongoing actor and writer strikes. Recently, CBS released their lineup for the fall of 2023, and the news about the police drama Blue Bloods was quite revealing. The Reagan family series has been confirmed to return for an astonishing 14th season. However, despite some of the show's stars taking pay cuts to ensure its continuation, it will not be airing on CBS's fall schedule as originally planned.
Instead, the network will be airing "classic" episodes of Blue Bloods, also known as reruns.
To fill the time gaps left by the absence of new episodes, CBS has had to come up with creative solutions. One of these solutions includes airing the Paramount Network series Yellowstone on Sunday nights. However, for devoted Blue Bloods fans, Friday nights are the most important.
CBS will be airing The Price is Right at Night, Let's Make a Deal, and Raid the Cage, followed by "classic episodes" of Blue Bloods. Unfortunately, the network did not specify which episodes from the show's 13 seasons would be aired.
Donnie Wahlberg, one of the stars of Blue Bloods, shared an emotional video from the final day of filming season 13 in April. In the video, he assured fans that they would be back to start filming again in July. However, this was before the writers' strike commenced. Now, the show's return date is uncertain because filming cannot begin until the strikes come to an end. We will have to stay tuned for more information on the return of Blue Bloods and other popular shows.
In the meantime, fans can enjoy binge-watching all 13 seasons of Blue Bloods on Paramount+.
