Law and Order SVU's Olivia Benson actress Mariska Hargitay is no stranger when it comes to raising money and supporting charities.
She is heavily involved in this world, running her own organization the Joyful Heart Foundation which aims to work towards a "world free of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse".
Earlier this week, Mariska came out alongside her actor husband Peter Hermann to be admitted into the Stuttering Association for the Young's (SAY) Hall of Fame.
Hundreds of supporters were invited to the charity's 2023 Gala this week but Mariska was particularly interested in getting involved for a personal reason.

Mariska and Peter have three children together, August, 16, Amaya, 12 and Andrew 11, with their eldest suffering from a stutter.
On the night, the couple opened up about the impact of the charity in supporting and empowering people like their son August.
Peter shared to PEOPLE: "It was extraordinary when we first heard his stutter to meet Taro [Alexander, SAY founder] and have someone to go to because so many stutterers live in isolation.
