Over the weekend, Jon Cryer, famous for his role in Two and A Half Men, found himself embroiled in a Twitter feud with Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz. It all started when Cryer decided to speak out against Gaetz's political views and his unwavering support for Donald Trump. Cryer didn't hold back, showing his support for Gaetz's opponent, Phil Ehr, in the upcoming election.
Gaetz, a staunch Trump supporter, didn't take kindly to Cryer's criticism.
He fired back by claiming that Charlie Sheen was the real star of Two and A Half Men and that Cryer was just riding along. But Cryer wasn't having any of it. He proudly defended his own contributions to the show, pointing out that he led the series for four seasons and even received multiple awards for his performance.
Not one to back down, Cryer made it clear that his intention wasn't to diminish Sheen's role but to highlight his own achievements on the show. And he had support from his former colleagues, like Amber Tamblyn and Lee Aronsohn, who were quick to shower him with praise on Twitter.
Throughout the 12 seasons of Two and A Half Men, Cryer portrayed Alan, the lovable and often hapless brother of Sheen's character. When Sheen left the show in 2011, Ashton Kutcher stepped in to take over until the series wrapped up in 2015.
The drama didn't end on Twitter, but Cryer stood his ground, showing that he's more than just Alan from Two and A Half Men.
